|This set of monoprint work was done partially as an experiment, during my studies in France. Most of the prints were done by running various found objects (pieces of wood soaked in ink, leaves, paint, paint pellets, inked glass) through the press, bleeding their juices and shapes onto the stock. Afterwards, I went back into the pieces with ink and pencil. All these pieces are about 12'' x 8''.
Each print is an original, of a 1 of 1 batch each. Some are on newsprint, others are on heavy 80lb or 60lb stock, and each has about 10 to 20 layers of printing.
All these pieces made it back to the US in one piece, and are framed in my private collection.
